5 QUESTIONS THAT LEAD TO FEELING EMPOWERED, ENTHUSED & ENERGISED

As I have spoken in previous posts, maintaining a mindset that empowers you to move beyond your current set of circumstances and propels you towards your desired outcomes is so critical at this point in time. Your mindset is the one thing in your control and it is the greatest part of your body being tested minute by minute of every day.

My belief is that your mindset can be changed in a moment of decision and through a heartbeat of focus. However, every decision must be supported and strengthened by a daily habit, ritual or routine. It is through this consistent act of progress that you and I can change our life, our outcomes and can obtain what initially may have seemed impossible.

YOUR MINDSET CAN BE CHANGED IN A MOMENT OF DECISION & THROUGH A HEARTBEAT OF FOCUS.

So right now you have habits, some are positive and progressive, but you may also have some habits that are destructive and demoralising. You are going to have both, that is not in question, but which ones do you have more of in your life right now?

I am often asked what types of habits you should have and I will share them with you in a moment. The real question you need to ask before you start is, what part of your life do you want to have the greatest impact in right now?

Are you looking to become …

  • Energised
  • Empowered
  • Enthused
  • Healthier
  • Stronger
  • Productive
  • Caring
  • Positive
  • Focused
  • Calmer
  • Proactive
  • Confident

You have to determine what it is for you. You see, if you don’t have a big enough reason why, it makes no sense to do what could be totally new, unnatural and foreign to you. We always need to look beyond the reason and dig a little deeper to find the real reason why. As you know you will either find a reason why or validate in your own mind an excuse for why it cannot be done by you!

How do you know that it is an excuse, it normally starts like this … “It is too … hard; far; difficult; many; few; much; little; etc.”

The easiest way to find your real reason why is to ask yourself a set of questions that dig deeper, that go beyond to reveal a reason that is so strong, so powerful and so empowering that it diminishes the excuses.

If I was coaching you one-on-one, I would ask you this set of 5 questions …

  1. Tell me why you want to become more confident? You would tell me a reason. Next I would ask you …
  2. Why is that reason so important to you? You would tell me a new reason, then I would ask you to tell me …
  3. Why is that reason so important to you? You would tell me a new reason, then I would ask you to tell me …
  4. Why is that reason so important to you? You would tell me a new reason, then I would ask you to tell me …
  5. Why is that reason so important to you? Now at this point in time, you are starting to get very close to the real reason WHY for you! When you get to here, I can hear the power of your reason WHY as well as see it in your physiology.

This one activity brings together your emotional, mental and physical parts of your being to create a connection with your reason. Download this Worksheet to document your answers.

Here are some examples of great daily rituals:

Warning…

Do not attempt to do all of these at once. Just pick one and do it consistently for 21 to 63 days and it will become part of your DNA.

WHAT PART OF YOUR LIFE DO YOU WANT TO HAVE THE GREATEST IMPACT IN RIGHT NOW?
